CV Tech Inducts Students into the National Technical Honor Society

CHICKASHA - The Chickasha campus recently inducted 40 1st year inductees and recognized 25 2nd 3rd, 4th, and 5th year honorees during its annual National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) Induction Ceremony this week. Chickasha's First Baptist Church Pastor Michael Butler spoke to the honorees during the ceremony and commended the students for their continuous commitment to being strong leaders in the school and in their communities.

The NTHS is an organization to honor student achievement and leadership, promote educational excellence, and enhance career opportunities for the NTHS membership. As NTHS members, students pledge to strive to maintain the high ideals of service to mankind, personal integrity, and of friendship and loyalty.

To be eligible for CV Tech's NTHS membership students must have a 93 percent average, one or more faculty and/or staff recommendations, no more than three absences in a semester, and active involvement in student government, Career and Technology student organizations, civic or service organization(s).

2012-13 NTHS inductees:

Auto Body Technology: Ethan Draper, Tuttle HS.

Business Office Technology: Lissa Callahan, Latisha Callahan, Maureen Ramirez, and Lyndsey Wyatt, adult students.

Computer Aided Drafting and Design: Dylon Townsend, Chickasha HS; and Brecken Ibsen, Ninnekah HS.

Computer Info Systems: Brandon Anderson, Tom Hester, Tim Hopen, Charles McCoy, and T.J. Noonan, adult students.
