Wind Energy Technician - Level I

Canadian Valley Technology Wind Turbine and Nacelle

The Wind Energy Technician - Level I course is designed to recruit and prepare new-hires for the wind industry.


Through the use of simulators and actual tower scenarios, students will be trained on the use of special tools, maintenance procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety/rescue equipment at height.


Prerequisite: Wind Orientation.

  • Pre-climb risk assessment

  • Fall protection systems

  • Self & Assisted rescue

  • Powered torque equipment

  • Turbine maintenance
