This class covers classroom instruction in school bus safety, pre-trip inspections, good driving practices and hand-on driving with our experienced instructor. You will work on your trip preparation and driving skills as you prepare for the Saturday driving test. You must attend all classes to be allowed to take the driving test, allowed to take the driving test, and you must pass the diving test to complete the requirements for your CDL.

Prior to starting class, you must have a Class “B” CDL driving permit (you can’t drive without it). To obtain a permit, simply take the written exam at your local drivers’ license exam station. Manuals are available at local exam stations or downloadable at www.dmv.org. (Hint: Study Chapters 1-5 and 10 in the “Oklahoma Commercial Driver’s Manual” - then take the written exam).

Prerequisites: Class B CDL or permit with a passenger and school bus endorsement. Must be sponsored by a school.
