In today’s highly-automated society, the need for skilled manual machinists is greater than ever. Opportunities are rampant for mechanical engineers, designers, draftsmen, machine toolmakers, and machinists. Precision Machining examines the skills, knowledge, and techniques needed to learn the art of machining. This class also combines quality instruction with hands-on training on the manual mill, lathe and CNC machines. Students will also have the opportunity to intern with local industries to gain on-sight experience with prospective employers.
