There is a shortage of HVAC technicians. Many students work during the day in the industry and get their education in the evening. Although you could enter the job market after only a few sessions, we believe you should consider completing our HVAC program, enter the job market as a registered apprentice and gain the experience hours needed to take the Oklahoma State Mechanical journeyman exam to become a licensed Mechanical Jourenyman.
These sessions are part of a comprehensive heating and air-conditioning training program that allows you to prgress at your own pace. Major areas of study are basic H/A theory, refrigeration, electrical systems, furnaces, heating systems, cooling systems, sheet metal, mechanical code, blueprint reading and troubleshooting. After completing all sessions in the program, session time will count as experience credits with the Construction Industries Board. Tool requirements will be discussed the first night. Book and Safety Glasses Required.
