You will be trained in single-phase 120/240 volt and three-phase 208/277/480 volt electricity. Major areas of study are Basic Wiring, Residential Wiring and Commercial Wiring. Each session builds upon the knowledge from the previous session. You will receive intensive training in the use and understanding of the National Electrical Code, safety, math, blueprint reading, conduit bending and installation, alarm systems, electrical testing and NEC Code calculations. Advanced sessions available in electro-mechanical motor controls and programmable logic controllers. All sessions are part instuctor led, part self paced and part hands on labs allowing students to progress at their own pace. Tool requirements will be discussed the first night. Book and Safety Glasses Required.
Note to Students:
Although the demand for electricians is so intense that many students enter the job market after only a few sessions, we believe you should consider completing our electrical trades program, enter the job market as a registered apprentice electrician and then gain the experience hours required to meet the state requirements to become a Journeyman Electrician. Many students work during the day in the industry and get their education in the evening.
