This program prepares you for a basic Oklahoma Cosmetology License as set by the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. Haircutting, coloring, perming and styling are the major components as well as manicuring, pedicuring and facials. You will study the latest beauty industry techniques, retail cosmetic sales and salon development in our new fully-functioning on-campus salon.

This year-round program (fall, spring, summer) is designed to provide working adults the convenience of attending evening classes. Students can complete this 1500 hour career major in just 9 classes of 8 weeks each. There are 5 - 8 weeks classes in a year - 2 in the fall, 2 in the spring, and 1 in the summer.

First time enrollees will need to purchase an approved CVTC cosmetology kit and smock; and, a textbook - about $300. These prices do not include a $5 registration fee and a $15 license examination fee paid by the student to the Oklahoma State Board of Cosmetology. All prices listed are subject to change.

Pell Grant and Next Step Scholarship elligible. Students applying for financial aid must be pre-approved prior to enrolling. Call the Financial Aid office at 405-422-2208 from 8:30-4:00pm. Required: CVTC Cosmetology Kit and books.
