The Surgical Technology Program is offered through individualized instruction allowing the student the opportunity to complete in as little as 10 months or as much as 18 months. Students must attend a minimum of 24 hours per week. Once the student begins clinical rotations, attendance requirements will increase.
Tuition is free for anyone in-district, under age 24, using the Next Step Scholarship; others in-district pay $137.50 per month (full-time); out-of-district costs are $2,248.40 per month (full-time). Additional costs include textbooks, immunizations, AST student membership, and testing fees. Student membership dues and testing fees are charged monthly during the first 12 months of the program at $23 per month.
In addition, students must supply their own transportation to clinical sites. White support shoes are required prior to beginning clinical rotations.
