Where am I? Where do I want to be? How do I get there from here?
We can help you answer these questions.
As a farmer/rancher... you know that managing your business in today’s unstable economic times is difficult. The Agricultural Business Management program is avaliable to help you and your family achieve your business and family goals through improved management, organization and efficiency of your farm.
One-on-one consultation and instruction are available either at your farm site or, if you’d like a break, at either the Chickasha or El Reno campus. During scheduled farm visits, your family and the instructor can study specific questions and problems related to your farm.
A vital part of the program is farm record analysis. Your family will learn to keep up-to-date records of all business transactions and family expenditures. At the close of each business year, your records can be analyzed and compared with those of past years.
Other areas of instruction include record keeping, cash flow planning, marketing strategies and the development and evaluation of farm plans.
At the end of the program you should have a strong record program, increased knowledge about how to use records in financial, tax and production planning and anaylysis and be able to use basic analytical tools such as enterprise budgets, partial budgeting, cash flow projections and financial statements.
